Tencent QQ Watch, packs GPS, WiFi, Calls, WeChat and more

Tencent recently launched their Tencent QQ Watch for Malaysian kids (and worried parents) for RM499 (for a 1 month promotional price, after which it will be RM569). The smartwatch is a standalone device in that it can make calls, chat, take pictures and track the GPS location without needing a connected smartphone. Made using colourful anti-static food grade silica gel, the QQ watch is IP65 dust and water resistant so it can take sweat, rain or spills with ease. It is currently being distributed by Sibyl World and Ideal Vision Distribution and will soon appear at Popular book stores and Watsons stores.

Tencent says that more kid friendly products and devices in the coming months with a nation-wide road show about child safety.
